Do you know your business ABCs?

Fort Worth Mayor Mike Moncrief, Tarrant County Judge B. Glen Whitley and BNSF Railway Chairman, President and CEO Matthew K. Rose championed and launched the Agenda for Building Capacity (ABC) Program in 2008.

These three leaders saw the need to collaborate and champion ways to reach out to other public agencies and corporations to encourage focused quarterly contracting forums for minority and women-owned businesses that would, over time, increase their capacity.  “By capacity, we mean the successful growth of an M/WBE-certified company to be ready, willing and able to deliver and perform on contracts over an expanded period of time.”

The Purpose of the ABC program is to create a forum for minority and women-owned businesses to connect with buyers and procurement opportunities from public entities, corporations, prime contractors and developers.

ABC Mission

To build MWBE capacity through partnerships that will connect both public and private sectors to qualified M/WBE’s throughout Fort Worth and Tarrant County.  Plus, provide an integrated program through linkages with community resources, tools and training to continue the growth of M/WBEs.
