FWHCC Scholarship Information

The Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is no longer accepting applications for our scholarships. Applicants are currently being reviewed and scholarship receipents will be notified on April 23, 2012.

We will also be hosting classes in the upcoming months educating those interested in alternative funding for tuition, financial aid and tips and tricks from local university, colleges, and financial institutions.

Available Scholarships

  1. Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber:
    • Amount: $2,000
    • Criteria: Must meet university, college, or trade school enrollment requirements 
  2. Gorrondona & Associates:
    • Amount: $2,000
    • Criteria: A’s & B’s (does not have to be honor roll), college qualifying SAT or ACT score, and low income Hispanic 
  3. Hillwood:
    • Amount: $5,000
    • Criteria: Enroll in Tarrant County College Aviation Program 
  4. Midwestern State University:
    • Amount: $2,000 per year for 4 years
    • Criteria: Admitted unconditionally to MSU 
  5. MWH Global:
    • Amount: $2,500
    • Criteria: Low income Hispanic 
  6. Tarleton State University:
    • Amount: $1,000
    • Criteria: High School top quarter ranking, 1070 SAT score or 23 ACT score  
  7. Texas Christian University:
    • Amount: $5,000
    • Criteria: 1750 SAT score or 25/26 ACT score
  8. Texas Wesleyan University:
    • Amount: $19,760 (full tuition & fees),  renewable up to 4 years
    • Criteria: University enrollment requirements and maintain SAP (Satisfactory Academic Progress)
  9. University of Texas at Arlington:
    • Amount: $2,000 per year, renewable for 4 years
    • Criteria: Must graduate from a public high school in Texas, top 20% in class preferred, top 25% considered, and a rigorous academic program of study such as IB designation or AP &/or Honors coursework.
